Frequently Asked Questions
1. About Ensurall
Ensurall is part of the Veri-Cheque Family of Companies, which was established in 1978. Veri-Cheque Ltd. is Canada's leading and pioneering company in the financial risk management field.
Veri-Cheque Ltd. specializes in accounts receivable and cheque guarantees protecting Canadian wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers from unexpected bad debt losses. Veri-Cheque's pride is its untarnished history of claim payment covering three decades. This ethic flows through the organization to all of Veri-Cheque's branches and divisions.
2. How does Ensurall Handle Claims and Claim Payment?
Ensurall offers their warranty holders the most control over where their vehicles will be repaired. When a Warranty Holder has a problem with their vehicle we ask that they call our office to notify us of the problem and the certified mechanic where they intend to take the vehicle for repair. Once the vehicle arrives at the mechanic shop and is assessed, the mechanic will then fax us a detailed diagnostic/estimate of the repair(s). In some cases Ensurall will send an adjuster onsite that will examine the claim for approval. After the claim is approved by Ensurall and the final invoice is signed by the Warranty Holder, Ensurall initiates claim payment to the Repair Establishment right away!
3. Where do I take my vehicle for repairs?
The majority of Ensurall’s claims are approved and paid the same day. If a particular vehicle Part needs to be ordered and delivered for a repair, this type of claim could take up to three (3) days. Claims that require an adjuster could take up to two (2) days.
Claims are paid:
- When an Approval Number (i.e. VU123456789) is given by Ensurall to the repair shop
- When the final invoice is signed by the Warranty Holder
- When the Warranty Holder's signed final invoice is faxed to Ensurall.
4. Will my mechanic or dealership accept Ensurall’s warranties?
Ensurall Warranty Holders can take their vehicles to any licensed mechanic anywhere in North America. Ensurall can also recommend a mechanic from our Approved Mechanic List if and when a Warranty Holder needs assistance.
5. How will I know that Ensurall will pay for my repairs in the future?
Ensurall is part of the Veri-Cheque family of companies who are bonded and insured by the Laurentian Trust. This arrangement ensures your claims will be paid should anything ever happen to Ensurall.
6. Does Ensurall cover wear and tear?
Yes, Ensurall does cover wear tear (as outlined in our contract). However Ensurall warranties DO NOT cover regular "wear and tear" maintenance items or services like brake pads and shoes, light bulbs, spark plugs, shocks, or services like oil changes or tune-ups.
7. Why should I buy my warranty from a Canadian Company?
Canada has specific consumer protection laws for warranty providers so it’s very important to buy from a Canadian warranty company. Consumers are not protected if they buy a warranty from a company in the United State as they fall out of the jurisdiction of Canadian laws. Furthermore, a Canadian citizen who has a dispute with an American warranty provider has no direct access to any court system to settle the dispute either in Canada or the United States.
8. Does Ensurall put warranties on vehicles purchased in the USA and imported into Canada?
Yes. When requesting a quote please tell your warranty consultant that your vehicle was originally purchased in the United States. When importing a car into Canada from the United States it is important to know if the vehicles manufacturer's warranty can be transferred into Canada. If not, Ensurall offers warranties that closely resemble the manufacturer’s coverage.
9. What is the difference between Ensurall’s warranties and the warranties offered by the dealerships?
The major difference between Ensurall warranties and dealership warranties is the price. Because Ensurall offers its warranties directly to the consumer ONLINE and not through a middleman - in this case the dealership - we can offer our warranties with significant savings OF UP 60% LESS. Ensurall sells warranties without a markup while dealerships on average markup their warranties by 100%.
